No shit, last time I checked an S works venge frame was around $3500 not to mention the custom paint job.

I don't know a ton either but I know Specialized is a brand that typically costs more than I would even consider spending on a bike.

Yep! Thing is freakishly light too! The owner of our local bike shop was bilding one up for a client and let me pick up the frame. It was like someone made a carbon fiber balloon! it weighed almost nothing!

I know several cyclists ranging from amateur to pro. My ex's ex was a racer. His bike cost more than my car. His was carbon fiber.
